Bright Delight

I decorated this tin with Stampin' Up! Bright Delight rubons - They went on quite easily and I haven't had any trouble with them coming off the tin. I created the ribbon handle using Riding Hood Red 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon from the Spring mini (only 2 weeks left to order from it). I used the crop-a-dile to set jumbo eyelets on the sides and threaded the ribbon through.
Of course inside is my everyday stamping supplies, so I know everything is in the one place when I want to start creating.

Happy halloween

We don't usually "Do" Halloween, but we normally get a couple of neighbourhood kids at the door. Last year I gave them boxed sultanas and light and tangy chips and boy did hubby let me hear about it - he thinks they all went away saying I was mean!
So this year I'm prepared with these simple chupa chump holders!
They are based on a christmas swap that was displayed on the display boards at Stampin' Up! regionals a couple of weeks back - I only got a pic so not sure who the credit should go to.

Card recipe
Pumpkin pie, whisper white card stock
Pumpkin pie, basic black ink
3/4" , 1" and scallop circle punches
Occasions for all stamp set (level 2 hostess set)

One of a kind

Here's a card showcasing some Designer Series Paper from the Spring Mini
It also uses the Kind Heart stamp which includes the Stampin' Up! copyright so fulfills Stampin' Up!s Angel Policy (I've used a marker to just ink up the sentiment for this card)
I've also cut really fine strips of Real red cardstock to use as thread in the Corduroy buttons - it is suprisingly strong.

Card Recipe
Ski slope DSP (from the spring mini)
Basic Gray from the Neutrals textured cardstock pack
Whisper white and Real red cardstock
Corduroy buttons in basic Gray (from the spring mini)
Scallop oval punch (from the spring mini)
Large oval punch
Kind heart stamp (from the spring mini)

IB&C News

At convention in Canberra It was announced that our current 2009-2010 Idea book and catalogue will now run until August 31st 2010. This will bring the Australian and New Zealand markets closer to the U.S, so we won't have to wait as long to get new products.
Stampin' Up! also announced that due to the extended catalogue dates, we will have 3 mini catalogues during this time, including new hostess only stamp sets.
So there's plenty of time to study the catalogue and make up your wish lists. You can even get part of your wish list for free by hosting your own workshop and earning hostess benefits.

Unconvention card swap

Another part of our "Unconvention" was a card swap. We had to make 20 identical cards, send them to the host and then we received back 20 different cards.
There was a twist - we had to work to the "unconvention" theme - something about our card had to be unconventional - mine is the unconventional use of a stamp set - Can you recognise which set I used to create this flower?
This is the tail and the leg of the bird from the "Good Friend" set
Card recipe:
Stamps: Good Friend
Cardstock: Whisper White, Summer Sun
DSP: Good morning sunshine
Ink: Ruby Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun
Adhesive: Snail, Crystal Effects
Other: Earth elements Brads

Unconvention

While many demonstrators were at convention in Canberra last month, a group of demonstrators decided to have an online 'Unconvention". It was a lot of fun with lots of projects, chats, swaps and we even had a virtual room mate at the virtual hotel. I made this fabric tote bag for my roomie. Here's a close up.

I used the bird from the 'Good Friend' stamp set and stamped it onto the fabric using Whisper White Craft Ink. I then embroidered around the image. I also used some 'Flower Brads' to embellish the bag.

Sock monkey!

I've been playing with my new sock monkey set (page 66) to make some birthday cards. This first one I made to match the sock monkey I made for my niece for her birthday. The second one I tried a different colour - Pretty in pink, Kraft and white.

This would be a great set to water colour - I need to clean up my craft room so I can find my Stampin' Up! water colour paper so I can give it a try.
